How to disable journal category

Hi,

We have defined a journal category but we do not need it. We want to end-date it but we cannot do so as it has no option to end-date, disable or delete it.

Also document category got created automatically as soon as the journal category gets created which too cannot be deleted or deactivated. How to achieve this?
