Lot Number management - expiry

Hi ALL

We are on EnterpriseOne Version 9.1
We have a special scenario whereby for some products, each lot number has its own unique properties hence not strictly it has the exact same expiry date (even though same item number). Each lot number does get assigned with its own expiry date and the shelf-life for each lot number may differ. Can JDE sales module prompt us , during order entry, if the user tries to assign a lot number that expires earlier compared with the very latest shipment done? Or is there a similar functionality that we may accomplish something closer? We want to prevent sending a lot
