Item with Line Type T

We would like to create a couple of items with line type T in the Item Master. Then we want to use the same item in the EDI application and populate the quantity. This line will be used for information purpose only. It will print on the BOL and then on the invoice. But it should not create any G/L entries.

Is it possible to do that? Is there a post that will assist me to create such item?
