Oracle Enterprise Edition ver. 12.1 on Linux RHEL 7

Primary CDB and its pdb's write to local ASM storage.

Physical Standby is located physically at a different data center that CANNOT see the primary's local ASM storage ever.

How does redo get passed if the primary CANNOT send or deposit redo to storage that the physical standby sees?
