Several Errors, Extra Steps When Moving a 12.1 RAC Password File Where CRS is 12.2

Hi, DBAs

This is a 3-node 12.2 cluster and a 12.1 RAC RDBMS, on Oracle Linux 6.6. I moved a database from one disk group to another, and hit a few errors moving the password file. There are no errors on similar actions when the database and CRS are the same release.  What is the procedure to get asmcmd to work correctly on password files when CRS is 12.2 but the databases are not?

I set the environment for 12.2 GRID_HOME, and used asmcmd to issue the copy and delete commands:

bash$> asmcmd -p

ASMCMD [+] > pwcopy --dbuniquename dbd01 +DATA_ASM/dbd01/orapwdbd01 /u01/app/oracle/oradbd01/admin/dbd01/pwd
