Batches to be rerouted

Hi Team,

We have an issue where we have created so many batches which all are in pending status and now they have changed the formula to a new version and when we try to reroute those batches to the newly created recipe which has the new formula version but it is not displaying it. So we want to know is this is an intended functionality or setup that it only display when reroute it will provide different recipe and different routing versions created and not the different formula that has been created.

Is there any other way to achieve this process to change to  the new formula version without cancelling or recreate the batch.
