Creating a Lease asset under new accounting standards

Since the inception of the new accounting standards in Peoplesoft, Oracle has sort of combined the functionality of LA and AM. Creating a leased asset in AM was pretty straightforward but here in LA its quite different. Does anyone have a step-by-step document on how to create a new lease from the shared navigation. Kindly help me on this.
