EBS Upgrade from 12.1.3 to 12.2.7

We are planning to upgrade the EBS from 12.1.3 to latest (12.2.7) on Sun Sparc.  The database has been migrated to 12.1.0.2.  What is the best way to proceed? What is the max level of 12.2 that I can install before making it current with 12.2.7
