Combo edit rule not applied in Depreciation journals

Hello,

We are currently on version 9.2 ALM. We have GL combination edit rules that prevent a department being used with a balance sheet account. However, when the depreciation journals are created, the department is being included for balance sheet accounts. Further, SOME lines fail the combo edit, stating the combo edit rule, while OTHER lines with a department are deemed valid. We can't figure out why there is a department at all for these accounts, or why some lines get an error but other lines don't.

Any suggestions?
