desktop integrator - return message to excel

created a Integrator that has a bne:whicherrors Paramater

I have a pre-import rule that validates the import value and if not found stamps a flag on the record - which will match the value in the bne:whicherrors value

On the import I am getting this error

An error has occurred while running an API import.

No return type specified in PL/SQL parameter list 20003:NAV_TEST_PLS attribute 3.

I have gone through the (Doc ID 1475566.1) which describes how to return the message but it is not clear.

Can anyone help?
