Relations between number of CPU in database performances

Hi,

Firstly let me apologized if I've created this topic in the incorrect place. Please point me to the correct location if that's the case.

My comp is planning to a tech refresh on it's old servers which is already end of life. I've been ask the question on the impact if any, database has if a server uses a single CPU with 24 cores?

Currently the old servers are running on 2 x AMD OPTERON 6176 SE 2.30Ghz/12 core CPU, so far there's not much issue with the database performance.

On the new servers we're looking into getting either AMD EPYC 7401/7451 which is a single CPU with 24 cores.
