Couldn't Create a JDBC Data Source to SQL Server 2008

Hi Experts,

Server1 : MS SQL Server 2008 (Windows)

Server2 : Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.9.0 (OEL 7)

I am not able to create a JDBC Data Source from BIP "Server2" to SQL Server "Server1" as I always get the following error:

Could not establish connection.

I can ping the SQL server from BIP server and the connection string I use is the default one provided by Oracle "see attached screenshot":

jdbc:hyperion:sqlserver://<ip_address_of_sql_server>:1433;DatabaseName=<sql_server_db_name>

When I searched the "bipublisher.log" log file I found the following errors:
