Parameter in the content query of Web Adi integrator

Hi,

I want to create a web adi  for downloading data with a parameter restriction in the query. Each time user runs the integrator user should be able to restrict the data based on the value he/she chooses for one of the fields(period field).

Can somebody explain the steps required to pass a parameter to the content query where clause?
