JDE: Child Meter Readings & Meters Allowed Flag on Equipment Master, F1217

If you want to update Children meters from the Meter Reading screen by enter the Parent Meter and setting the Processing Options appropriately, does the Equipment Master for the Child have to be set to Allow Meters or does it matter? We want to make sure that child meters aren't updated directly in the Meter Reading Application, only through updating the Parent meter.
