Parent Child System Function - Get Grid Row - Parent/Child Grid parameter.

Can someone tell me how I pass parameters to the Parent Child system function Get Grid Row.

Parent/Child - Grid   (there are no parameters to select as per standard form design for this system function where you will see "FC Grid")

I have tried adding variables but still can't see these.

I need to pass the GC values for a subform grid on a tab control.  I have five subforms.  On tab control selected I want to update the parent data structure with the first grid record selected in the subform on the selected tab control - without the user actually clicking on the first grid.  The reason for this is that when a user selects each tab control the first grid appears to be selected - but the SI values contain the last subform loaded values.  They need to be refreshed when the user reselects on a tab control.
