Traveler Chek Franking error

We are on version 16.0.0.0.699. Not sure why we are stuck when we get an error while scanning the traveler check. Below are the steps I followed.

1. Log in to xstore V16

2. Add an item

3. Select traveler check as tender type

4. do partial or full tender using travelers check

5. print receipt

6. Xstore displays to insert check in the printer for franking.

7. Frank in a way you get a franking error. ( insert the check but hold it so the franking is not successful )

8. Error: Check franking error is displayed.

Issue: Cashier is stuck whether they select Retry / cancel. and cannot exit the screen.
