VMWare Datastore to ASM Config

Hello Experts - Any thoughts or suggestions regarding datastore setup for Oracle RAC via VMWare.

VMWare admin is suggesting to setup one dedicated datastore with multiple VMDKs for Oracle RAC ASM Disgkroups CRS, DATA, FRA and REDO.

I have been referring to VMWare and Oracle documentation but its not clear if dedicated datastore to be setup per VMDK per disk associated to ASM diskgroup or one dedicated datastore for all Oracle RAC clusters.

Any feedback/suggestions will be greatly helpful.
