can we add a new list column control mapped to a BC field using Javascript API (IP2016)

is it possible to add a new List Column control to a List Applet on fly using Javascript API? basically we are trying to add a field without making an srf change as a quick-fix but wasn't sure if it's even feasible. Since, this field is currently not on UI, I am not able to get the field value using PM methods (GetRecordSet).
