Simple and Complex Promo Overlap

What will happen if the Simple and Complex promo have an overlap?

For example:

Item A is on a simple promotion at percentage off:

Regular Retail: 100 $

Promo Retaial: 50 $

There is a multi-buy promotion on the same item as:

Buy 1 get 1 Free

what will be the base price of Item A when it will apply the Multi-buy?  Will it be 50$ or 100$?

How will the system react in this scenario
