Is it possible to upgrade an existing database server (11.2.0.4) from ol6 to ol7?

We have a number of database server instances running Oracle Linux 6.9 (latest) with the UEK4 kernel supporting  Oracle DB 11.2.0.4 that we'd like to upgrade to OL7.

Oracle does have an upgrade document:

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E52668_01/E93593/html/ol7-upgrade-ol6.html

However I note these conditions:

It is possible to upgrade an Oracle Linux 6 system to Oracle Linux 7 Update 5 under the following conditions:

  • The system meets the minimum installation requirements for Oracle Linux 7 as described in Chapter 1, System Requirements and Limits.
  • The Oracle Linux 6 system has been completely updated from the ol6_x86_64_latest channel or ol6_latest

Howdy, Stranger!
