We would like to use dataguard to accomplish the following;
1) use primary for application load (maximo version 7.5.x)
2) use standby for reporting to remove that load from the primary database server
If we experience issues then we will address those as needed, just as we would now if there were problems with the single instance database.
I guess basically we would be using dataguard with fast start fail over diabled? (FSFO disabled)
Has anyone used dataguard for a similar reason?
Our version is 12.1.0.2.0 - due to application certification compatibility
