User specific Resource Analysis Chart on global dashboard

We wanted the portlet resource analysis chart on a global dashboard and the resource used should be the current user. And we assumed the choice of resource on the portlet worked as a dashboard filter. I.e. users can change it and only effect "their" dashboard. However this doesn't seem to be the case.

If we make the dashboard global, users without editing privileges on global dashboards cannot change the resource. And if they have global editing privileges and change the resource it is changed for everyone.

Potential workarounds:

- Letting it be a global dashboard and encouraging our user to copy it and save it as a user dashboard. (Downsides: Admins can't make changes to the dashboard. No guarantee that the users have the dashboard.)
