Custom indices - DB or JDE

Hello Folks,

The DBA after analyzing certain statistics has suggested to create indices over few standard JDE tables. Do you have any recommendations or documentation on whether these indices need to be created directly at DB level or via JDE OMW? And if there can be any repercussions around creation of these custom indices at DB or JDE level?
