Problem with recycling lot number sequences when transacting Inter Org transfers

Using a Julien Day code lot number format to comply with largest customer requirements. Went live in 2009. Starting to create lot numbers in 2018 which were migrated across in 2009. Problem is with Inter-org transfers. Message comes up stating status on lot in receiving org is different to that in sending org. This is because the status of the lot in the sending org is the one created in 2018 whereas the status of the lot in the receiving org is the one that existed as the last updated status in 2009.
