JDE1 - Ability to "Discontinue" Pay Types

I am aware that historically there has been no method for discontinuing or end dating Pay types; similar to how it is done with DBA's.  Just wondering if there have been any advancements in this functionality so that I can flag a Pay type so that is can no longer be used that perhaps I'm not aware of.
