Finding Median and Pth Percentile

Not sure I'm asking in the right group but ....

We are in the process of converting all of our Crystal Reports to Bi Publisher and I am finding it somewhat frustrating in that a lot of the functions available in Crystal are not available in BI Publisher. Or at least not that I can find. I'm hoping that someone out there can tell me different on two that I have recently come up against

The crystal I'm converting from uses the function: Median ({COL_HR_FIRE_SICK.TL_QUANTITY}, {COL_HR_FIRE_SICK.DEPTID}) to find the value of TL_Quantity in the middle of the group Dept ID. This function is not available in BI Publisher to my knowledge
