Solaris 11 - How to relocate a dump device?

edited Jul 14, 2018 5:00AM in Oracle Solaris ZFS File System (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered

I need more space on my root volume.  I would like to put the dump device on another volume.  When querying the MOS Knowledge base, I get everything under the Sun except what I'm looking for.  This is on a production server, so I have to be very cautious.

Are there any "how to"s out there?

Presently:

NAME                                     USED  AVAIL  REFER  MOUNTPOINT

rpool/dump                               132G  5.94G   128G  -

Would like this device removed and recreated here:

NAME                                     USED  AVAIL  REFER  MOUNTPOINT

dba                                     60.5G   306G   144K  none

Here is my plan - happy to have another set of eyes look it over.    Thanks in advance!

Howdy, Stranger!
