Account Merge issue - how to delete duplicates

Dear Siebel experts,

we went live with Siebel 18.5 recently and we  see that existing Account Merge functionality behaves differently.  Our child entities are not deleted from the table but instead they are updated with the Conflict Id of matching records.  At the end these duplicates are also not excluded from UI.  Is there any property saying if duplicate records should be deleted?

Any help more than welcome!
