JDE 9.2 R31422 Work Order Hours and Quantity Update Batch not processing Super Backflush 'S' records

We're currently in the testing phase of our 9.1 to 9.2 upgrade.  We've run into an issue where Super Backflush processed flag "S" is not recognized by R31422 in 9.2.   This is a known issue in 9.1.  BUG 18498768.  However, after looking at the code in 9.2, it appears that the R31422 is coded to ignore the "S" flagged records.   Is there a way to use Super Backflush and not create the F31122 records with an "S" or bypass this logic altogether without a code change?
