Upgrading database but retaining the schema

I have an 11.2.0.4 eBS Database Schema. Can I upgrade the database to 12c and keep the existing 11g schema as is. The reason for this is to use a third party reporting tool which currently works directly against the 11g DB while providing some security to the actual database container ? Are the Database Schemas Found in Oracle E-Business Suite the same for an 11.2.0.4 implementation as 12c?
