Capability of not producing output if no Data selected?

I am curious if there are any capabilities or settings that I am not aware of in which I can have system not print a blank page if no data selected.  

I have a business unit that I am supporting that is attempting to be "green" and they execute Print Pick Slip program via scheduler multiple times thru the day.   If data matches selection then naturally a Pick Slip will print as designed.  However if there is no data matching when the job is run they still get a piece of paper stating  "No Data Selected"   Which is the basis of my question for possible solution.   Can we not print a blank page via some setup.
