Reinstating Asset that is Retired in 2015?

Hi,

I need to reinstate assets that are fully retired in 2015.

Is there possibility to re-instate an asset that is retired in 2015? and we are in 2018 May/Jun period open, since i read in some articles that it is only possible to re-instate the asset that is retired in the current fiscal year.

Also i see the re-instatement button is greyed out in the retirement window when queried through Assert workbench window via Asset number.

Can someone please help on it earliest?
