HSA Deduction excluded from CA SIT Taxable wages

After applying May 2018 Vertex Update we found that the HSA Deduction that should be excluded from FIT taxable wages is also now be excluded from CA SIT taxable wages.  We are trying to work with Vertex for a solution, however, we are on AS400 and only have a xml format of the Before and After Report, which they are unhappy with.  Wondering if others have identified the HSA issue?
