cm does not want to stop

I'm having the below issue:

When you stop the Concurrent Manager with "adstpall.sh" or "adcmctl.sh stop", the Concurrent Manager does not want to stop. These script behave normal.

There are NO Concurrent Requests running. Most processes remain in "defunct" status, indefinitely it seems.

Obviously, that is a hint to the issue, but I can't find why.

The CM is in a 2-node setup. Using the Abort option does work, but I want a regular fix for this.
