diskgroup ASM

Dear Support,

Our DB version 12.1.0.2

we are using diskgroup with external redundancy.In case if ASM metadata is corrupted(if my disks are visible at os level and my asm_diskstring parameter is set correctly),then

1)We cannot mount the diskgroup right?even we have raid 1 at storage?

2)Do we need to recreate the diskgroup and restore the database?
