Recommendations for Thick or Thin Provisioning of LUNS on Dell EMC Unity 450F SAN

Our SAN Administrator is replacing our EMC VNX 5500 SAN with a Dell EMC Unity 450F SAN.  We are continuing to use the same

He would like to migrate existing the LUNS over using a SAN data copy. 

However, I have been asked if the LUNS have to be Thick provisioned, or if Oracle Solaris 10 and Solaris 11 will just work effectively on Thin provisioned (compressed LUNS).

Has anyone had any experience with Thin Provisioned LUNS for Oracle Systems, if so how well do they perform?

What are the recommendations for this for Oracle Databases and Applications/Middleware?

Is there any additional configuration required to improve performance?
