User Defined Sybledger Type with Validation

Hello,

As per a new business requirement, we would like to have a new user defined subledger type (00/ST) say 'B' (For Bond). This subledger will be used only in creating Journal Entries and will have the Bond number (Alphanumeric) as a subledger.

However during the JE creation, we would also like to validate the subledger values against a custom table or custom UDC (say 55/BD). This custom table/UDC will have the 8 character Bond Number.

Is there any easy way to achieve this. Let me know if you require more details.
