Expense account field to be made mandatory on Item master level

Hello,

I want Expense Account Field in Master Item Form should be yellow coloured, so as to signify the mandatory requirements.

I am trying to make expense account field required by using form personalization to modify a from item property (require= TRUE) ,but field not become required.

Any idea?  please let me know.
