Cafe1 Not Working With Custom Table

We use Cafe1 extensively with much success, and the user community loves it.  I'm trying to link the P41026 to a custom app based on a dynamic link, short item number to short item number, and branch plant to business unit.  The link brings back all records in the linked custom table.  When I link the P41026 to the P41002, only the desired records are retrieved in the linked app.  What am I missing to have the custom linked app bring back only the matching records?
