Configured Item SO without work order

I have a very similar question to the one linked below. My question is if we create a configured item where the parent has an 'S' line type, and all components are 'S' line type, can the selected components be displayed on a pick ticket (R42520) and can the selected components be displayed in picking Via P4205?  Essentially, we want the picker to build the configured item by selecting the components into the box.  In our scenario the configured item is something the end user will build, so they are selecting the parts that they want, and we ship it
