What is the concept of “Department Credit” in PS Grants? I find directions on how to complete the pa

Just trying to understand the concept of "Department Credit" in PeopleSoft Grants Management. I can't find an explanation anywhere in PeopleBooks or MOS that identifies what identifying credit percentages by department on a Proposal/Award causes to happen. For me the term "credit" has an implication but I am looking for more than an inference. It would seem that the reason that you would identify percentages by department is because the system will use those department values and percentages and do something with them. I am trying to find out what that "something" is an when and where it occurs/
