Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Announcement: Oracle Fail Safe 4.2.1 has been released.

You can download the kit and documentation from the Oracle Technology Network (OTN).

The main changes in this release are:

Database Release 12.2 support
Support for TNS_admin Directory
Support for Read-Only Database Homes
Ability to Open and Close Pluggable Databases using Oracle Fail Safe Manager
Oracle Local Groups
Improved Password Management
Databases May be Opened in Read Only and Restricted Modes
