New IP 18 GW Cluster Findings

Sharing these for the benefit of the community.  We will be giving a detailed presentation on  IP 18 and the GW cluster in Washington DC if you are able to attend.

  • Installing Siebel server on 18.7 after GW cluster had a bit of an issue.  The Siebel server would not start correctly. Finally after restarting server a few times things worked just fine.
  • As you know unlike connecting to the AI Tomcat connecting to the Siebel Tomcat requires the GW to be running.  Connecting to Siebel Tomcat requires a quorum (2 of 3) of the GW servers to be up before Tomcat will open in the browser.
