Work request complete status

Hi,

Just a a quick query. Why system change the status of work request from on work order to complete, after completing the work order associated to that work request ?

Is there any option to avoid this automatic status change ?

If there is any document related to automatic work request status change on the base of work order, then kindly also share that.
