P4116 - Inv. Reclass with expired LOTN

Hi,

I am trying to do Inv Reclass with below scenario and getting hard error. Would it be possible to achieve this?

FROM record Lot Number has expiration date 12/14/2014

TO record New Lot Number with expiration date 12/14/2014

Location is same for these two lines.

In setup,

LOTN is not required

Shelf life days 999

I am getting hard ( RED) error. Is there any setup could help me to pass this error? Or it is standard error? Our client is saying they can do this in their system. I am trying to do this in our own system.
