Running on Windows 2008 R2 Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 using ASM. Running DBCA fails at Step 6 of 12 Database

Running on Windows 2008 R2 Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 using ASM.  Run ning DBCA fails at step 6 of 12 Database file Location.  Error:

Cannot use ASM for database storage due to following reason: Grid infrastructure or clusterware home not found. ASM

should be running under this home.

Verified services are running.

I am an Oracle DBA used to running on Linux and out of my depth with windows.  Any help would be appreciated.
