I am setting up corp book for first time. Can I accept the date that is displaying as the last day

I am setting up Corp book for first time.  Can I accept the date that is displaying as the last day depreciation ran even though it is not showing as the last day of the previous month. I am creating book as current period AUG-18 and the last run date that is displaying is 7/30/18.
