Importing Special Characters with EIM

Hello

Is there a way to eliminate special characters when data is loaded from EIM.

We are trying to load data from EIM- SDH table - Base table. But some of the coloumns in the record has special characters which when populated in the base table , as they cannot be identified , displays as square boxes in the table.

Kindly let me know if you have any inputs.
