in Oracle Transportation Management (MOSC) Question

As a prerequsite step to installing OTM 6.4.3, I am trying to install fusion middleware 12.2.1.3.0 using oracle JDK 1.8.0_181, get "The OpenJDK JVM is not supported on this platform"

I got the "The OpenJDK JVM is not supported on this platform" message, so I downloaded the following jdk from oracle edelivery:

Oracle JDK 1.8.0.181 media upload for Linux x86-64, 161.2 MB

    V978933-01.zip     

When that was installed, I tried to run the fusion middleware installer again.

Got the same message "The OpenJDK JVM is not supported on this platform"

What gives?
