Trx and GL date are back date from the actually creation date

In our system, the date of shipment is the date of Invoice and GL.  We had items shipped on Monday the 6th of Aug and most of them had a TRX date of the 4th of Aug.  I check material transactions for these sales order and it have date of  06-Aug-2018 and that should be the same for the GL and Transaction date.  Is there a reason this is happening?
